......................I've never known her like this, with the wind in her hair. My father's hand interrupts the frame with what i imagine is careless adoration. I was there. they might not have know it then, but i was there. my mothers hands knew, protecting me from the chill. It's a comfort to know there was a time when they could be in the same room together, or even the same boat.

ReplyDeleteBeautifully written. Yes, I knew you were there. Maybe more of a comfort is knowing we enjoyed being in the same room together for almost 20 yrs. With time, we realized we were meant to be on different boats going different directions while still enjoy each others company,always valuing our special gift. mom
